Building a raised garden bed - Part 1
In this series of Building a raised garden bed i will be documenting the complete process of how i created multiple raised beds for growing my veggie garden.
It has been quite a learning process as i go along building my beds and growing the veggies in them.
The information here is great for someone who is a newbie and is starting out with some basic level of gardening and growing their own stuff.
There are certain tools and materials that will be needed to start off as listed below.

- Screws - preferably around 60mm
- Treated pine sleepers h200mm x d50mm x w4.8meters
- Hardwood timber posts
- Hammer
The size of the bed i built was 1.5meters x 56cms, but whatever size you want to build depends on your needs and accordingly get the Treated pine sleepers for your need, but make

Make sure to work on a flat surface while assembling.

- cut the timber pine sleepers to the preferred size. I use 1.5 meter x 56 cms.
- join 1.5meter cut adjacent to the 56cm cut. and drill in 2 holes and then screw them in (see figure 1)
- join the next 56 cms cut adjacent to the 1.5m cut, drill 2 holes and screw in.
- join the last 1.5m cut and screw it iin.
- Make sure the bed structure holds together firmly.
